I received a flier about your organization in the mail and found the site to be very informative I filed for an increase for my service connected injuries and I received my increase letter today thank you. Thank you for helping me to get my wheelchair fixed. A young man was passing out fliers for your organization in my neighborhood and I decided to tell him about my problem with my motorized wheelchair. To my surprise the gentleman stop took out his cell phone and called the number of the VA employee who had told me 3 months earlier that they would have my wheelchair fixed. To my surprise 2 days later a technician came out and repaired my wheelchair.

I meet you at the VA Hospital in Birmingham Alabama while you were passing out cards for your organization. I was sitting in the Veteran Hospital today, listening to some fellow vets talk. One gentlemen caused me to look up because he said “Most vets don’t know their rights”. I smiled because if it hadn’t been for Helping Our Veterans, I would not be having a complete physical and all my medications for free. I was only there because they told me I was eligible and I had the right and to go down to the facility and register for my benefits. Helping Our Veterans is the Angel that all vets need when they don’t know where to turn. Thank you for informing me of my rights!
